Dear Valued Carole Fabrics® Customer:  We hope this message finds you well.  We are contacting you with an important update regarding fabric pricing from Carole.  Despite the continued volatile nature of the current global markets, we at Carole Fabrics have worked diligently with our suppliers to minimize costs and disruptions for your clients by delaying surcharge exposure as long as possible.      While we have absorbed these market increases to date, import vendors continue to institute surcharges reflecting the current global trade landscape.  As such, beginning July 9, 2025, a temporary 2.75% surcharge will be applied to both fabricated soft products and cut yardage orders to offset a portion of these added costs.  This surcharge does not apply to hardware which has been addressed in earlier communications.  We are closely monitoring these products and will notify you if additional modifications arise given the recent changes in steel and aluminum trade policies.  There are a few caveats to note: Quotes and orders entered before July 9 will not be affected unless changes are made to the orders after the effective date.  The surcharges will appear under the “Misc” section of your invoice.  For simplicity, we are implementing a flat percentage surcharge regardless of fabric country of origin.  However, adjustments may be required if changes are made to trade agreements with specific countries.  We will remain transparent in our communication and inform you promptly of any updates.    Thank you as always for your partnership, and thank you for being a loyal Carole Fabrics customer as we navigate these dynamic times together.  Warm Regards,

Over the past several months, we’ve worked hard to absorb rising costs associated with recent tariff increases. However, to continue providing the quality and service you’ve come to expect from us, we will be implementing a modest 3% price increase on select imported products, effective July 1st.

This adjustment applies only to items directly impacted by the increased tariffs. All domestically made products will remain at their current pricing.

To the Design Trade:

The ongoing tariff discussions between the United States and other countries continue till this day, and strategies are shifting on a weekly basis. At Fabricut, we have been waiting to see some certainty in the tariff structure before making decisions in the interest of fairness and accuracy. We have been absorbing tariff increases between 10 and 30%, depending on the country of origin of the goods we import. It is now necessary to pass along a portion of these unexpected costs.

As of July 14th, 2025, Fabricut will be instituting an approximate 6.5% price increase on much of its product line. We believe this is equitable, given all the aforementioned circumstances. We reserve the right to review this increase, based on subsequent trade negotiations or unforeseen developments.

Since our offerings are broad, please be advised of the following roadmap.

The 6.5% increase will affect fabric, trimmings, wallpaper, rugs, and leather sales in the following brands:

Ladies and Gentlemen:   Thank you for your partnership.  We appreciate the opportunity to support your business year after year.     At our Spring High Point market, we launched our new Outdoor collection, and could not have been more pleased with the response.  Thanks to all of you who shopped Uttermost Outdoor.  We welcome your thoughts and suggestions as we are very focused on our Fall introduction now.   We’ll have our new Outdoor Lookbook available later this month, as well as swatches available.   As you know, the tariff situation is very fluid and very significant.  Just in the past few days, it was announced that the steel and aluminum tariff will increase from 25% to 50%, effective this coming Wednesday.     We have postponed the price adjustment mentioned in the below letter, but can’t wait any longer.  Other than our domestic production, tariffs have increased on all production in the past two months.  In addition, ocean freight is increasing rapidly now.     While we have been working on the cost analysis for some time, we will not finalize the exact increase until Thursday or Friday this week, and the increase will be effective at that time.  We expect the increase to average 4% or less, as we’ll mitigate the cost increases as much as possible.     Please note that this increase will have no effect on orders placed prior to the increase, including any backorders.  Also, there will be no tariff surcharge.   From an overall perspective, we manufacture our designs in a broad range of countries including Indonesia, Vietnam, India, Malaysia, Cambodia, Portugal, China, and the US.  We continue to decrease our China production even further, while increasing our production in all other countries including the US.  All three of our distribution centers are well stocked.     Again, thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to serve you in the best possible ways.     Sincerely,

By now I am certain that you are exhausted by all of the tariff related emails you have received. So, I will make this simple and concise.

In order to create a fair and flexible policy, as of July 9th we will commence the following:

• Add a 3% surcharge only on our imported products (including those from China);

• This will apply only to orders placed on or after July 9th;

• The surcharge will be a separate line item on our invoices;

• We will have the ability to adjust the surcharge up or down by country of origin if the tariffs vary from where they are today. We will clearly state this on our invoices; and

• There will be no surcharges on any of our furniture, as it is over 98% made in the USA.

We’ve held off as long as we could but absorbing rising costs from tariffs is just no longer sustainable. 

Starting June 1st, a small surcharge will apply:

• Fabric or Vinyl: US $2/yard • CAN $3/yard
• Leather: US $0.50/sq ft • CAN $0.75/sq ft
• No surcharge on Closeouts, Lifeguard Treatment & Half-Yard Samples!

If (or when) tariffs go down, we’ll lower the surcharge too - that’s a promise~

Updated price lists are below and available at charlottefabrics.com, and all invoices will show the surcharge - no calculator needed. 

Inventory Update:

 We’re bringing in as much fabric as possible and working with U.S. mills to stay stocked. That said, some vendors aren’t restocking - so we can’t either.

If stock is low (20 yards or less) or your order would drop it below 20 yards, the material will need to be physically stock checked in our warehouse for pieces.

May 20, 2025   Dear Valued Horizons Dealers:   As a follow-up to our previous tariff bulletin, we are pleased to share that we are reducing the temporary surcharges applied to select product lines. This adjustment reflects improved conditions and is part of our ongoing effort to minimize the impact of tariffs on our customers. The revised surcharges are as follows:   • 8% on Natural Shades Product Line  • 8% on Shades of Elegance™ Roller Shades Product Line  • 8% on Decorative Hardware Product Line  • 6% on Soft Product Line using our Stock Fabrics  • 3% on Soft Product Line using COM   These surcharges will be added to product costs and will take effect on new orders placed beginning Thursday, May 22nd, 2025.    We understand that price adjustments are never ideal, and we want to assure you that this measure is temporary. Our team is actively monitoring the situation and exploring all avenues to minimize the impact on our customers.
